Excited to Join the Color Run? Here’s What You Need to Know!

Color Run is undeniably one of the fascinating fun runs that you shouldn’t miss participating.  This trending 5K run does not just promote wellness and fitness; it is basically like attending Holi Festival, except that you have to finish the course, and run and sweat. For those who don't know, a Holi is a Hindu spring festival celebrated in the countries of India and Nepal. Also called as the festival of colors or the festival of sharing love, Holi is such a fun event which includes spraying colors on each other.

At the Color Run, participants make their way to the course while volunteers cover them with colored powder. But apart from being a unique fun run experience, another great thing about the Color Run is that it welcomes participants of all ages and athletic ability.

In case you haven’t participated in a Color Run (but you are extremely excited to do so), here are three important things that you need to know:

You Don't Have To Be a Professional Runner

The Color Run is not timed, which only means that you don't have to be a runner to join the fun. As a matter of fact, families, elderlies, and children are very much welcome to take part. And there is also a designated walking lane, so it’s not purely all about running until you reach the finish line. With this being said, there’s certainly nothing for you to worry about being a beginner in fun runs because you’ll thoroughly enjoy the Color Run. But of course, make sure to finish the 5K course so that you also get to be proud of something.

Protect Yourself

With colored powder being thrown in any direction from the beginning of the race until you cross the finish line, you have to make sure that your eyes and mouth are protected. Bring a pair of sunglasses and a bandana with you. See to it also that you have kept all of your valuables such as cameras and phones in a plastic bag. And if you do not want to be entirely covered in powder, stay in the middle of the lane whenever going through a color station.

Go in Groups

What’s more fun than finishing the Color Run with your friends or family, right? Apart from promoting fitness, the Color Run is also a social event with a lot of dancing and singing happening at the end of the course, so it’s really a great suggestion that you bring your friends with you.

And that’s it! Three essential things that you need to know before joining the Color Run. And to make sure that you stay hydrated while finishing the course, make sure to bring our 25oz Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle with you. Get one now at Amazon!
